The primary purpose of Christian worship is to render to Almighty God the praise and thanksgiving that is his due. Corporate worship on the Lord's Day is the Church's essential and defining activity. All Christian mission and ministry flows out from and returns to this weekly offering of "our selves, our souls, and bodies" to the God who created us, who redeems us though his Son Jesus Christ, and who sends the Holy Spirit to sanctify us.
